Jackie Gale

Jackie is a contemporary textile artist known for her vibrant, imaginative and tactile creations. Her art often blends illustrative and semi-abstract styles, rich in colour, texture, and narrative, celebrating elements like flora, fauna, seascapes and scenes from everyday life. Jackie describes the fabrics she uses as her “paint” and thread as her “paintbrush,” focusing on transforming rescued materials into pieces that feel joyful, uplifting and full of personality. She lives and works in Devon where the natural landscapes and wildlife of the region strongly inspire her work.
